Welcome!
Macclesfield and District Riding Club, MDRC or Macc Riding Club as it is known to most, is a friendly local club that welcomes everyone from absolute beginners to the more experienced rider.
We like to think we can offer the real beginner somewhere to come and compete in Showing, Equitation, Working Hunter and
Show Jumping.
We are happy to talk you though the rules and operations of the different events and everyone is very understanding. Don't worry if you have never entered anything before just come along, see how it works and have a go!
For the more experienced we can offer Show Jumping up to 36 for the Open class and in Working Hunter there are both Intermediate and Open classes. All of these and many more (we offer 50 classes per show) are in the schedule, click on and have a browse.
Come along and enjoy yourself.

TEAMS
Hello and welcome to our teams page.
MDRC regularly take part in the area team competitions which are organised by NLG (Northern Liaison Group) who represent our area within British Riding Clubs. NLG hold the area qualifier competitions for the BRC National Championships where you compete against other clubs across our area.
MDRC already have a great record of achievement at the qualifiers, with teams and individuals representing the club at the National Championships for Show Jumping (indoor and outdoor), Hunter Trials and Horse Trials, both at junior and senior levels.
Jo Sotheran is our team Chef dEquippe – not an easy job I can assure you, however if you are interested in taking part, please download and complete the attached Team Questionnaire and send it to Jo. The main requirement to take part is that your horse or pony has an up to date flu certificate, and besides that, we need your commitment to take part.
Here are a few photos of our successful teams and headlines from write ups in the Macclesfield Express, where we like to publicise our achievements.
Visit our events page for dates of the Area Qualifiers and Championships.
